Alcohol and Heroin are the most prevalently used addictive substances in Cayuga County and there's a general decreasing trend in abuse, for almost all types of substances.

Cayuga County perform better than state average in some key aspects of mental disease treatment. For example, in Cayuga County there's a higher proportion of residents who are eligible for Health Home Plus (HH+) services from their Health Home/Care Management agency as well as who age 50-75 and completed appropriate colorectal screening. These data indicates smaller health disparity gap and strong inclusivity. There's varying deviations from statewide average for quality measurements.
